In
this past summer, and into this new school year, I have really been thinking
about being a leader and getting wisdom from God in order to be a leader. I
went to this worship night this summer where we talked about how God speaks to
us. After that night three different people came up to me and told me that God
was telling them to tell me that I have a special purpose in this world and
that I was called to be a leader. Once I heard this I really thought about it
and started looking up passages to help me and started praying about it. I realized
that this was really true in my life and it was something I needed to work on as
two of my best friends have not fully dedicated their lives to God and they
need some spiritual influence. These two passages are just two good ones that I
read and would like to share. Romans 12:8 states,” if it is to encourage, then
give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead,[a]
do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.” This verse gave me
a lot of wisdom and I also learned that in order to be a leader we need to do
it diligently and in order to do that we need to ask God for wisdom and he will
give it to you. Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that in all things God works for
the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his
purpose.” I believe that as Christians God has given us all a purpose to worship
him and be leaders to others who do not worship him. We can have a great
impression on our peers and we could change this teenage society if we all
could ask God for wisdom and try to be leaders for him.
